About

The Abraham Connection is an overnight emergency shelter, providing 36 beds for men, women and families who are homeless in Delta County and the surrounding community. We are located at 480 Silver Street in Delta, Colorado.

The shelter is run by a volunteer board of directors and a team of volunteers who provide every aspect of shelter. The shelter was started in 2010 with nothing besides the desire to help those in need, a lot of faith, and a $20 donation from a local Rotarian. Shelter operations started in the basement of a church housing 2-5 people a night, and have grown to the construction of our own facility and an average of 25 people every night.

Mission/Vision Statement:

Mission: The Abraham Connection empowers the unhoused with solutions to achieve housing stability and long-term self-sufficiency.

Vision: To live in a community where all individuals have a place to call home, and no one spends a night without shelter.
